Introduction

The contemporary moment finds humanity at a critical juncture, confronted with a decision that will determine the course of our species. It is evident that throughout the world, there is an increasing demand for action to address issues of injustice, division and exploitation. The prevailing order, characterised by systemic racism, elitist bias, and a relentless pursuit of profit, has been found to compromise human dignity. Deluism arises as a unifying doctrine for our time: a philosophy and revolutionary call to action for all peoples, in every nation. The fundamental premise underpinning this assertion is the enduring truth that human beings are a social species, deriving their existence and well-being from community and cooperation. Aristotle's long-standing observation that "man is a social animal" is a welldocumented assertion that individuals are unable to fulfil their potential in isolation. Contemporary scientific and experiential evidence substantiates this assertion: the absence of community is concomitant with human deterioration, a phenomenon that is as indispensable to life as respiration itself. §

However, in the contemporary era, the prevalence of materialism and narrow self-interest has led to the fracturing of communal bonds. It is evident that substantial disparities impede millions from attaining the liberty and egalitarianism that are their inherent rights. Prejudice and hate, most notably racism, have the capacity to create division between individuals, thereby eroding the cohesive forces that bind communities. The prevailing socio-political structure, characterised by an oligarchy and tyranny, has been shown to exert a significant detrimental effect on the human spirit, effectively treating the populace as a means to the enrichment of a select few. This manifesto asserts that the perpetuation of these injustices will no longer be countenanced. The present study sets out the argument for the advancement of Deluism as a new path, combining the moral fervour of a political manifesto, the rigour of a philosophical treatise, and the bold vision of a revolutionary doctrine. The work is both idealistic and pragmatic, encapsulating a "pessimism of the intellect, optimism of the will" (Gramsci, 1929) by being simultaneously realistic about the present evils and hopeful about humanity's capacity to overcome them. This manifesto is directed not at a specific class or nation, but rather, it is intended to address humanity as a whole. The Deluist movement is predicated on the notion that every culture, community and individual has a place within it. §

In the following pages, the fundamental principles of Deluism are set forth, along with the organisation's vision for a just and free world community and a call to action. These principles are proposed as a living doctrine, intended to evolve in accordance with collective wisdom and diverse experiences, rather than as immutable dogma. Deluism is not an idle utopia; it is a rallying banner for all who yearn for solidarity, freedom, and equality. Readers are invited to participate in this endeavour as members of the human family. It is asserted that a unified purpose, in conjunction with a conscientious approach, has the potential to effect profound and transformative change on a global scale. §

“Concern for human dignity demands that all citizens be equal before the law… The conscience of all mankind demands that this be true for all the peoples of the earth.” §
