What Deluism means.
Deluism centres community, equal freedom and power from below. How those commitments can coexist at scale remains unresolved.
Deluism connects community, equal freedom and power from below.
01 · The argument
Five starting points.
This is how I currently understand the argument. The three full dossiers show where it becomes more difficult.
- 01
Human beings are connected.
Individual freedom emerges through reliable relationships, education, care and shared responsibility—not against community.
- 02
Freedom needs equality.
Rights remain abstract when people lack the material and political means to exercise them.
- 03
Power remains borrowed.
Delegates receive limited mandates, remain recallable and return exceptional powers after a crisis.
- 04
Democracy begins locally.
Local assemblies decide for themselves and federate for tasks that affect several communities.
- 05
The economy serves life.
Cooperative work, commons and ecological limits replace profit and property power as the highest measures.
02 · The structure
Eight principles.
No shortcuts.
