7. A Pluralistic, Anti-Racist Society Rooted in Solidarity and Cultural Evolution
Deluism is predicated on the celebration of human diversity as a treasure rather than a threat. The present author and the organisation to which they belong explicitly reject all forms of racism, ethnonationalism, casteism, and any theory that one group is superior or inferior to another. It has been demonstrated by scientific evidence that the concept of "race" is a social construct devoid of any authentic biological foundation. This assertion signifies that humanity is unified as a single species, transcending racial distinctions. §
However, beyond this scientific fact, our moral conviction is that the rich variety of cultures, languages and traditions in the world should flourish in an atmosphere of mutual respect. The Deluist society is distinguished by its pluralistic character, manifesting in the acknowledgement of the entitlement of all cultural and religious communities to exist and practise freely, contingent upon their commitment to uphold the equal rights of others. The movement is informed by a diverse array of voices in multiple languages, unified by a shared set of fundamental human values. The objective is to eliminate the deeply entrenched prejudices that have been employed as instruments of divide-and-rule politics. §
Racism, in particular, is not merely an injustice to those it directly oppresses; it is toxic to society as a whole. The practice has been employed to provide a rational basis for atrocities and warfare. Indeed, the 20th century demonstrated that the denial of the equality and mutual respect of individuals, and the propagation of the doctrine of the inequality of individuals and races, engendered the possibility of a cataclysmic global conflict. It can thus be concluded that racism constitutes an evil not only for its victims, but for entire nations as a whole, with the potential to lead to widespread devastation. §
Deluism is therefore predicated on an anti-racist foundation as a foundational principle. The organisation's mission is to eradicate systemic racism and all forms of discrimination, including those based on factors such as skin colour, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and creed. Instead, the focus is on fostering a profound sense of solidarity among all individuals. This solidarity is not characterised by blind uniformity; rather, it is defined by active camaraderie, which acknowledges differences while still identifying common cause. §
The process of cultural exchange, characterised by free dialogue, has the potential to facilitate mutual learning, evolution, and progress. Just as individuals evolve through interaction, cultures too can enhance one another through mutual learning. It is hypothesised that a cultural evolution will take place, in which old forms of chauvinism and hatred will be superseded by a new global culture of solidarity, representing a true "unity in diversity". The cultural heritage of every community is esteemed, even as a novel collective human culture is forged on the principles of empathy, creativity, and justice. §
Within the paradigm of Deluism, the notion of patriotism experiences a metamorphosis. The prevailing paradigm no longer this as a sentiment of superiority towards one's nation in contrast to other nations. Instead, it is understood as an affection for humanity and one's local community as a component of a broader human family. There is a broad consensus that all forms of bigotry should be regarded as a type of treason against humanity. The foundational principle of this philosophy is predicated on the establishment of a universal brotherhood and sisterhood of all peoples, predicated on the notion that the sole race is that of the human race. §
