A guild-based, non-exploitative economy
The manifesto proposes an economy of democratic guilds. Production would respond to social needs while respecting the ecological conditions on which it depends.
People working in a business should have a say in its decisions. Its responsibility extends beyond its workforce.
Political implications
Workplace participation would need to include investment decisions. Voting on peripheral matters does little to change the power attached to ownership.
Shared provision would require agreements with affected communities. The dossier examines possible arrangements and their limits.
